Barry Fischer

I have worked with Barry Fischer for the past 8 years in regards to a conservatorship of a person and estate. His fees are reasonable for his experience and most things get done in a timely manner. He has even worked with me with a payment plan and discounted hours. At the end of the day, he was ab...le to get the case for conservatorship approved and has been able to keep the filings up to date without any negative consequences from the court. He could be better at returning phone calls in a timely manner and keeping in contact with his on going clients. First time we met, he had a nice office and now works out of his house. Either one is fine with me as long as he can get the job done. He has even gone above and beyond by traveling from Beverly Hills to Santa Ana to meet with me and appear in court. Overall, I have been satisfied with his services and will continue with them.

Not convinced this office actually does anything with the cases they take after my experience with them. First meeting with underling "Steve" went okay with him saying I could call him 24/7 and that everything would be taken care of regarding my car accident (and no I do not know why a primarily ...family law office took an accident case, but they were also working with my friend on a similar case so I suppose they branch out). Acted pretty condescending, but claimed he would move heaven and earth.... Then would never, no matter how many times I asked, send me a copy of our contract. Also never followed through on even having the car appraised nor on getting us a covered rental car. Took him weeks to contact the correct insurance company after wasting time filing with someone we knew the driver wasn't insured by. Would not respond to emails, calls, nor texts and when he did would yell at and belittle my mother (who owned the car) saying we were "lucky he was representing us and that we should just thank him instead of asking questions." Yet, there was nothing to thank him for as he wasn't actually doing anything. He would try to claim he was waiting to hear back about something that I had already received and forwarded letters about (dated weeks earlier) and he would ask me to go do investigatory work and secure video footage from stores around the accident site myself and then not acknowledge receipt of them. Told me I was lying when I told him I felt uncomfortable with the doctor he sent me to (who's only "treatment," by the way, was that I lay with a heat pad and some electrodes or on a vibrating massage table that exacerbated my post-accident nausea) and threatened to drop my case instead of switching my doctor. Mentioned how the more my medical bills were the more money we'd receive and how there was a loophole that any money the doctor didn't take got to go into our pockets. Seemed way more concerned with the money than the fact that a car had hit me full on, crumbling the driver's side door and leaving me in actual pain and with actual issues that needed treating. I stopped hearing from him for months, despite calls, until out of the blue he WhatsApp messaged me asking for personal pictures then, two weeks later, Skype messaged me "What's up honey." Completely inappropriate. Then today I received papers from the insurance company that apparently he never even submitted any of the information regarding the accident and as "it appears that our driver was not involved...we must deny your claim." So I guess he didn't actual submit anything because I had pictures of the scene, a 911 call and a cop on the scene, a copy of all the driver's paperwork and license, and the driver even submitted a claim to my mother's insurance so he was very obviously involved. I would definitely not recommend using this law office for anything.

I have worked with several divorce attorneys over the last years. Barry has been with me for the last 4 years durring a horrible custody fight. To have someone play dirty to try and take a son from a mother is a pain many can understand. Barry was able to deal with me who was rather upset when we met.... More importantly Barry is well k own and well liked and that's important it is in essence a small world. He knows how to Del with each person as an individual not just another lawyer or ex husband. He is impecibly prepared. So smart. He got to know me so he could help me not attract my weaknesses but my strengths. Most of all he cared never has he not returned a call within hours, that in itself is a miracle. I have had several divorces. He won one divorce for me beyond what I dreamed. But after countless hours of work he is going to save my child. If he will take on your case you hire him because he will save your life. It's a very very specialized field of law. Out of all the business attorneys, divorce attorneys Barry was the best attorney of them all. This is very personal advice but I needed to say something. Custody fights can take your soul. Barry does not let that happen. If you are a client of Mr. Fischer you are cared for and respected as a friend. I owe my life to Mr. Fischer.
