My husband and I hired Liz Janss twice in personal injury cases, both for auto accidents where my husband was not at fault. In both instances Liz made sure first and foremost that my husband's injuries were treated thoroughly and by good physicians. She was open to us seeing our own doctors, and had ...referrals available as well. She also helped to facilitate a lien wherever possible so my husband and I did not have to pay out of pocket for treatment before receiving the settlement. She followed up regularly to see how he was feeling, and also asked pertinent questions we would not have thought of when establishing the extent of his injuries. When it came to negotiating the settlement, Liz gave us an accurate idea of what kind of settlement we might receive, and was very thorough in gathering supporting material for the case. She pushed back with the insurance company's first two offers, and we walked away feeling fairly compensated. It's worth noting that before hiring Liz we did interview another dedicated personal injury lawyer - he made big claims about the amount we might receive if we hired him but also insisted that a) we only see his "approved" physicians, b) my husband receive at least double the amount of medical treatment that he actually required and c) that my husband limit his employment while he was receiving the treatment. The whole thing made us uncomfortable and we were alarmed that this could be considered the "norm". Working with Liz was the exact opposite - fair, effective, and not drawn-out. My husband and I would both highly recommend!
