Mark H. Karney

Incredibly knowledgeable about the law. My case deals with an issue relating to bipolar disorder and child custody. He has a real understanding about people, not just the law. How people with mental illness react to stressful sitatuations and he gives great advice to avoid detrimental situations such... as restraining orders, etc. Also, to be able to get a specialist for the price of an associate is incredibly helpful to many who cannot afford a lawyer.

I was represented by Mr. Karney. He ran up substantial fees then abandoned the case immediately preceding a court date. As far as I can tell he did very little for me that I could not have done myself. He counseled me to make compromises on my child custody in the interest of a long-term strategy,... then abandoned the case before that strategy could be played out. I would not recommend him as representation.

I had a very difficult child custody case that was complicated by my wanting to relocate with my children out of state.
