Jonathan Levi Abrams

Jon Abrams’ dynamic career has resulted in broad and multifaceted expertise. He has been an executive officer and General Counsel at two public real estate companies, a Senior Vice President at an entertainment studio and an attorney at an international law firm. Prior to that, Mr. Abrams graduated with honors from Harvard Law School in 2001 and with honors from UC Berkeley in 1997.   

Mr. Abrams was part of small executive teams overseeing all company affairs at two LA-based public companies, Maguire Properties and Rexford Industrial. Those teams were responsible for managing strategic options (such as financing transactions and M&A opportunities), debt maturities, internal operations, public communications and the overall business plan. Mr. Abrams also supervised the following departments at various times: legal; property management; leasing; development/entitlements; human resources; and information technology.

As General Counsel at Maguire Properties and Rexford Industrial, Mr. Abrams handled all day-to-day legal matters, was responsible for legal and regulatory compliance, drafted and negotiated a wide variety of contracts and oversaw all litigation matters. As a Senior Vice President at Lionsgate Entertainment, Mr. Abrams worked on matters such as financings, film library acquisitions and corporate governance. At Latham & Watkins LLP, Mr. Abrams focused on general company representation. His practice included IPOs, private placements, corporate governance, and M&A transactions.

Mr. Abrams has served as Chairman of Happy Trails for Kids since 2009. Happy Trails is a non-profit organization that provides a summer camp and year-round reunion events for hundreds of children in the California foster care system.
