Home Remodification

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE YOUR MONEY. I thought I did my homework and looked them up in BBB and read reviews etc etc. After hiring them on to help me with a loan remodification after losing my job not only did it take 2 1/2 years to get the job done. I almost lost my home to fo...reclosure. I was given August Bergjans III. For the first year nothing and I mean nothing was done. I was told to fill out paperwork and they would be in contact with my home mortgage company. Keep in mind you are told to not contact the mortgage company !!!! You are told NOT to speak with them. So after a year of NOTHING getting done I had enough and took matters in my own hands. I spoke with the mortgage company and they said they had no paperwork of mine. So then when you call August he either a) doesn't answer the phone or b) gives you an excuse and tells you that they are playing games or c) gets very defensive and argumentative when you back him into a corner and demand answers. I don't think August was used to a female demanding answers because when you did he got loud.. argumentative....rude and would say the same thing over and over and over again and told you have to be patient. Patient is waiting for 2 years. The only reason we got anything done with our house is because I would be in contact with the mortgage company on a constant basis to get what they needed to keep the process going!!! We paid $6,000.00 to do absoultely nothing! In fact, they should pay me for doing what they were suppose to do in the first place. It should not take 2 1/2 years to get a home remodification finalized. In the end we ended up saving $700.00 on our mortgage... we had to put the taxes in with the house payment though which then in the end made our house payment even more a month. Some good advice that did work for us: If you have 2 mortgages don't pay on the second one if your house is worth less than what you owe the bank on the first mortgage. Our first mortagage was on $335,000 and our second mortgage was on $62,000. We stoppped paying for our second mortgage because our house was only worth $300,000 at the time. Eventually the second mortgage company came to us "one time deal" if we paid $9,200 we would wipe the second mortgage so we cleared the $50,000 or so.. I had to take it out of my 401k :( That was the only good advice August gave us. I have NEVER dealt with such ignorance. Yes, when you would call they would screen the call and not pick up. (like other reviewer stated) If you left a message they would never return a call. So finally I would keep calling over and over and over again and then and only then would they pick up. Then I would get August picking up in anger because I would keep calling. I would tell him well that's the only way you will do what you were paid to do. DON"T EVER USE THIS FIRM AND PAY THEM ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!

Great and responsive attorney for civil and criminal matters

Mr. Rosenstein is an experienced and knowledgeable trial attorney. My company has retained him for several business matters and he helped resolve them without having to go to litigation which saved our company some money. Michael is also a criminal defense lawyer and while I have not needed him... personally, I have referred several friends to him for DUI's and he was able to help them all.
