Edwin Castellanos – Attorney & Managing Partner of the law firm of Castellanos & Associates, APLC. He is an experienced divorce lawyer in Los Angeles, California and has been practicing exclusively in the area of divorce and family for over 19 years. Edwin’s practice includes but is not limited to complex divorce litigation, custody matters, child relocation issues also known as “move away” cases, child and spousal support issues, including child support services department matters and driver’s license suspension for non-payment of child support, post judgment modifications, paternity, domestic violence and guardianship cases.

One of the biggest advantages to Edwin’s representation is his early education and experience in business and accounting. Edwin Castellanos received his Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in accounting from New York University’s prominent Stern School of Business. After working in New York City’s financial district, Edwin went on to attend Boston University School of Law. In 1995, Edwin earned his J.D. Degree from Boston University School of Law.

Throughout Edwin’s years of experience in divorce matters he has learned that going through a divorce can lead to serious financial ruin if you depend upon an advisor with little to no knowledge of the financial implications of your divorce. Edwin was born in Quito, Ecuador. Before the age of 4, Edwin moved with his family to the United States and was brought up by hard working Ecuadorian parents in Brooklyn, a borough of New York City. Edwin was raised in a predominately working class community situated between Flatbush Avenue and Borough Park. He lived in a tough urban environment but was taught the importance of hard work and education from an early age.

One of the unique aspects of Edwin’s practice is his ability to share his knowledge and experience with residents from Latino communities around Southern California. As you might imagine, being raised in a traditional Latino family, Edwin was taught to speak Spanish fluently at home while speaking English in school. Edwin is one of a handful of Spanish-speaking Latino lawyers in Los Angeles practicing exclusively in divorce and family law who can assist Latinos with divorce and family law issues in their native Spanish language.
