I retained Castellanos & Associates in 2013. I was married for over 24 years. I had thought the case would be simple as we did not have any minor children. My husband had a good job and a pension. However, I was wrong. The case became very toxic. My ex hired a lawyer and wanted to fight about e...verything we owned, including not wanting to pay support. At one point, he told me that he wanted to leave me with nothing. Thank god for attorney Edwin Castellanos and his staff. They fought for me and made sure I received everything I was legally entitled to. My case lasted five years because my Husband would not settle and wanted to litigate everything. Mr. Castellanos has a very busy practice and is often in Court, but he explained that to me when I first hired him. I could have gone with another lawyer, but Mr. Castellanos was very patient with me and explained the entire process to me. I never felt that he had something else to do when he was with me. Even though my husband hired a very aggressive lawyer to intimidate me. I would say his lawyer was a loudmouth. Mr. Castellano's knowledge of family law won over the Judge. I found out through this case that it's not who is louder but smarter. I won my case because of the excellent work and preparation of Castellanos & Associates. Since my case ended, I have referred Edwin Castellanos to various friends and family, and I heard that they had received the same level of representation that I got. I wanted to write this review because I want other people going through the same thing I went through to get the best possible legal representation I got. Mr. Castellanos helped me through the darkest times of my divorce. He fought very hard for me and I always felt like he had my back through the divorce process. Mr.... Edwin Castellanos was the worst lawyer I could hire. I was getting a divorce back in 2014. I had to attend the court in LA to finalize the case, so it means that my previous lawyer already had every works and papers ready in Oklahoma, where I reside. He charged me $14,000 for one deposition and two t...rials. I paid this amount before the last trial as he mentioned he wanted the money upfront, meaning that he was already paid off for the entire work. By the end of the court day, since I won the case,the judge rewarded me with $9000 as the reimbursement. I never saw that amount though. He took the money entirely for him claiming that this was his court appearance fee. He knew he was lying, but he also knew that I was already tapped out finantioally and there was no way for me to hire another lawyer agains Mr. Castellanos. So I just came back to my town and tried to communicate with him over how he is wrong. it Did not work. He was right on thinking of me as the weak one at that time, but I still have the power to inform everyone and not let people to be Deceived by Edwin Castellanos. He charged me for a total of $23,000 for a divorce that there was no issues as Childs or assets involved.

I plan on writing a testimonial for your office as a whole, and independently I would like to include the work we all did years ago.......Just to get 50% custody legal or physical, I had not seen my daughter for 9 months, when I came in to your office the first time, everyone was so supportive and en...couraging. I would not have gotten through those years without all your hard work and reassurances ( the TRUTH was the last thing I wanted to hear, I was so distraught and emotionally suffering...I was DESPERATE to be with my daughter ) you made the process relatable, and took over where I needed your assistance most. I was scared to believe in someone ....especially a lawyer!! Not to disrespect anyone in the awful agonizing job of bringing families together, and trying to prove without a doubt that the 'best interest of the minor' was your goal. I am grateful that law school helped Mr. Castellano's and his beautiful wife find their passion and that they are practicing every day to change children's lives, and make the word 'FAMILY' mean something. Its still hard to believe my daughter is happy, her parents dropped the ball, but in the end you were right there every step of the way! I was never led to believe I would win, I was financially and emotionally exhausted, but in our first meeting you laid it out, and told me the time period, process, and paperwork, would take at least 3-5 hearings.....my situation required this, and continuity, repetition, and hard work would get us there. This is what matters most, You always told the truth, and I consider you and your entire office family. I would like to do an update to this because of our current victory, I hope your staff and you really know how important an appreciated you are.
