Without Joseph A Gutierrez we do don't know what we would have done. Someone was definitely looking out for us when he was recommended to us. He was there for us in so many facets outside of being our lawyer, he truly felt like family. We met and from the outset I felt we was definitely the lawyer for me. He came across sincere, honest, personable; he believed in my case and showed he cared. Later, my bail bondsman said that Joe was one of the best attorney’s in LA. We went over the discovery together. At the preliminary he mad...e very good arguments that would influence the procedures later on. The trial judge refused to honor our request for dismissal but Joe went right to work and we filed with the Appellate Court. Joe did his legal research and presented very good arguments. The result was that the appellate court ruled in our favor. The DA was not happy and requested that the CA. Supreme Court de-publish the results. The Supreme Court looked at our case; they denied the DA’s request and ruled in our favor. The case will set future president, all because Joe would not give up and believed in my innocence and how important our case was. My case will be dismissed because of Joe’s work.

My sister was arrested with a very serious charge. Mr. Gutierrez was recommended to us by one of his colleagues because of his extensive experience with difficult cases .He almost immediately took a personal interest in my sister’s case and her family. He knew she was being treated unfairly and took... on the mission of defending her. He made very regular visits to my sister when she was being held in jail. This paved the way for a more realistic stance from an initially, aggressive prosecution. Ultimately, he was able to produce the result he had hoped for and predicted. My sister received a much fairer/ smaller sentence than what the other side had demanded. My family will be ever grateful for this man’s determination and careful preparation.
