I'm a licensed California attorney-mediator, and I help couples get divorced without turning it into a war.

After years working in litigation — including on complex cases at a major national firm — I came to a simple conclusion: most divorcing couples don't need a fight, they need a process. That's what I built. My practice, Amicable-ish Divorce, offers flat-fee mediation, divorce coaching, collaborative divorce representation, and consulting attorney services, fully remote, to clients anywhere in California.

I'm not here to help one spouse "win." As your mediator, I serve both parties equally, helping you work through the decisions divorce requires — parenting time, support, property division — so you can reach an agreement that actually holds up, without the cost and delay of litigation. For clients who want a collaborative approach, I can also serve as your collaborative attorney, working alongside your spouse's counsel to reach a settlement outside of court. And for clients navigating mediation or negotiation on their own who just want a lawyer in their corner to review documents and answer questions along the way, I offer consulting attorney services as well.

Mediation isn't right for every situation, and I'll tell you honestly if I don't think it's a good fit for yours. But for couples who are willing to sit down and work through this like adults, I can generally help you get it done faster, cheaper, and with a lot less damage than the court system typically requires.

I hold a J.D. from NYU School of Law and have done pro bono family law work through the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law here in Los Angeles. I'm also the author of the forthcoming book The Dignified Dude's Guide to Divorce, and I write regularly about divorce and mediation on Substack.
