Biography
I started my career as a civil litigator in a small firm. I did this for less than a year and instead pursued my passion for being in the courtroom and helping people by becoming a Deputy Public Defender for the County of Riverside. I practiced criminal defense with the Public Defender’s Office for over five years, handling thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. In handling those cases, I conducted hundreds of preliminary hearings, motions and trials. I also gained extensive invaluable experience in the niche area of juvenile law having represented hundreds if not thousands of children being charged with crimes. Working as a Public Defender in Riverside was a very rewarding experience especially in the time I was there. While I was there, we dealt with a very tough District Attorney’s office and this helped mold me into the knowledgeable, aggressive, and fearless attorney that I am now.
