I had a tenant renting my rental property who after 3 years of good rental history, my renter started to be late on his rent. After making exceptions to late charges through the property management company I contracted to handle my rental, the renter suddenly stopped paying rent and attempted to sue ...me for outrageous claims, ie., landscaping, deferred maintenance, pest infestations, etc. My house was a new construction and maintenance and landscaping was taken care of by me.
