After 50 years of ALWAYS paying my bills and paying on time, I was forced by circumstances to file for bankruptcy. I was devastated and cried all the way to Mr. Patteson's office and during our initial interview. Mr. Patterson was extremely kind and understanding, thoughtful and supportive. He even ...offered me tissues to wipe my eyes and put his arm around my shoulders. He listened and then explained my options carefully, thoroughly, and very gently. And although he would need to re-explain the necessary procedures again, as it was hard to retain through the tears, he did explain the process. His paralegal, Sam, was just as helpful as he helped me identify my debtors and gathered information for the court. I am almost finished paying the court trustee for my bankruptcy. Maybe most important to me is that each time I needed to call, both Mr. Patterson and Sam knew who I was when I called and greeted me knowingly.
