Marshall Lyon

Marshall Lyon is the founder of Lyon Law, a Nevada family law firm serving clients in Reno, Las Vegas, and throughout the state. He helps individuals and families navigate divorce, custody, child and spousal support, and other domestic relations matters with clarity, steadiness, and strong advocacy.

Marshall began his legal career in public defense, serving as a Deputy Alternate Public Defender from 2023 to 2025. In that role, he represented clients in complex criminal matters and developed the courtroom skills, calm presence under pressure, and client-first mindset that now define his family law practice. In 2025, he transitioned to family law to work more closely with individuals and families facing major life changes, and founded Lyon Law to provide focused, accessible representation across Nevada.

His approach is built on clear communication and practical guidance. Marshall makes sure clients understand their options, know what to expect at every stage of their case, and feel supported through what is often the most difficult chapter of their lives. Whether the path forward is a cooperative joint petition for divorce or a contested custody dispute, he tailors his strategy to the client's priorities and the realities of Nevada family courts.

Marshall earned his bachelor's degree from Purdue University and his Juris Doctor from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. He is licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada. In 2025, he was named a Top Attorney in Nevada by Nevada Business Magazine, recognizing his professionalism, work ethic, and growing impact in the legal community.

Beyond his practice, Marshall is committed to expanding access to legal information in his community. He volunteers with the Lawyer in the Library Program at the Washoe County Law Library, helping community members understand their rights and next steps.
