John P. Calvert

I have 29 years practicing law and representing clients mainly in the area of criminal defense.  I have been a member of the Nevada State Bar sense 1989 and a former member of the State Bar's of Maryland (1985) and the District of Columbia (1986). I am currently a partner with the Law Office of Calvert & Hubach, LLC in Reno, Nevada.

On a professional level, I have or have had membership and leadership positions in the Nevada State Bar Advertising Review Committee, the CLE Committee, the Annual Meeting Planning Committee, and the Bridge the Gap Committee. I am a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. I ran for Nevada Supreme Court in 2006. I am listed in the Kinsington Whos Who (2000).

I have taught other attorneys in the areas of criminal defense and ethics and have taught law students how to do legal research and writing at California Western School of Law.
