Someone who actually cares!

Paul not only fought my case he also made calls on my behalf for a child custody case in another town. He gave me great advice any time I would call and he was not afraid to be completely honest with me. Chewed me out a little bit because of the seriousness of my charges to make sure I understood whi...ch I appreciated more then he will ever know. He actually fought for me and I am so greatful for everything he did for me.

Poor defending skills, unprofessional, horrible communication

I am surprised I am even taking the time to do this but I just thought i'd voice my opinion to hopefully save someone from hiring this oblivious, ignorant, half witted public defender. His communication level out of 10 is a solid 3, his presentation and performance when discussing my case and situati...on to the Judge was nowhere near relatable to a competent Public Defender/Lawyer. Do not get yourself caught up with this trainwreck, he will not take your case seriously and let the judge decide the charges instead of insisting on a lighter outcome, he will take whatever is offered and deserves to lose his license. P.S., I had to go to 4 different court dates, he had me get evaluated at one point, the people who assessed me asked why were you sent here? i responded with "My public defender doesn't know what he's doing and will be fired" Sure enough I wrote to the courthouse and explained my situation and reason for being arrested and was assigned a new Public Defender(Ken Ward), who had me released and charges reduced our first time in the court room. So all i'm saying is fire this public defender if you get assigned him and ask for a new one, they will help you and your time won't be wasted.

worked much harder for me than I expected from a public defender

Mr. Yohey has done extensive research and hired various experts/ investigators and had my case remanded from district court back to justice court with lesser charges which after the witnesses come forward, I believe that I will be found not guilty.
