Ms. Hughes previously held the position of City Attorney for the City of Henderson, Nevada from 1983-2009. In her 26-year career as City Attorney, she provided legal representation for the mayor and city council, as well as the entire city government of Henderson. She supervised the civil and criminal divisions of the City Attorney's Office, as well as the environmental programs division and office of court programs.
