Retaining James Claflin as my lawyer has single-handedly been one of the BEST decisions I have ever made. James helped me... to better understand the Nevada Family Court and the laws they uphold. He patiently and kindly answered the numerous and sometimes repetitive questions I had. His attention to detail and efficiency is truly incredible. He gave me advice and tools to navigate through a very difficult and ever-changing co-parenting situation. His care, concern, and dedication to helping me overcome one of the most difficult periods in my life, remained, even after the case was closed. From my first call with Kathy, James' paralegal, I knew that I was in good hands. I had consulted 2-3 other lawyers and did not feel like they would pay as much attention to detail as Kathy did in the first 5 minutes of me speaking with her. I knew that Claflin Law was going to be my choice for representation as soon as I got off the phone with Kathy the paralegal. I had spoken with numerous representatives over the phone from other firms and not once did anyone ask about me and my case. They all just booked me for a consultation. Kat...hy too the time to get all the details from me so that way the Attorney James was prepared when we actually met. Within 10 minutes of meeting James I knew he would be the perfect attorney to represent me in my Child Custody Case. Every single strategy, date, and timeline was completely communicated not just in "lawyer talk" but in a way that I could understand and interpret. All of my requests were heard and in the end granted by the Judge. I can honestly say that James truly got me every single thing that I had asked for when it came to the custody decree. Was in the midst of a "WAY OUT OF CONTROL" divorce process in California; WHEN my estranged (pending Ex)-wife took craziness to another level, by sicking Nevada's 3 prong Child support divisions out against me in California. Although it was frivolous and she knew it was, she did it to make our son an...d my life more unstable. I called James Office and spoke to friendly, patient and understanding (professional) staff- which then lead to a very direct, thorough and concise conversation with Mr Claflin. After a few moments of deep thought, I was completely confident in the Claflin Office dealing with my Volitile, outlandish and NOT your NORMAL case. My Ex is a diabolical, calculating, malicious Narcicist, with sociopath/psychotic mood swings. SHE is also very manipulative and calculating - which has given her traction in OFFICIALS (Court & Legal) to let her slip through the cracks and continue harassing all she has her sights for (oh yes, she's also a gold digger), having done these same actions 15 years ago wither EX (which I just found out the truth about). James dealt with everything and kept me in the loop - informed at all times. The process was set for me to fail, as my ex's knowledge of the system, allowed her to have multiple court dates established for me to appear in Nevada (I live in California) and she was having my wages attached (by my employer, in California). BUT James was able to get everything dismissed in Nevada. Only thing that could have made things better, was that the court should have MADE her pay for the Attorney's fees/expenses I incurred in this evil action; BUT the Court thought she was suffering enough by the dress she was ACTING for the courts benefit. I hope nobody else will have to dealt with MY level of KRAZINESS in Family court/family law, But if you do- I would wholeheartedly and unequivocally suggest James Claflin as the best person to represent your interests.
