Mark G Henness

Mark G. Henness is a Las Vegas personal injury attorney and founding partner of Henness & Haight, Injury Attorneys. Since 2000, he has dedicated his practice exclusively to representing people who have been injured through the negligence of others.

Mr. Henness began his legal career on the other side of personal injury litigation. After earning his law degree in 1995, he worked for the Nevada Attorney General’s Office, where he defended state entities including the Nevada Department of Transportation. He later joined the regional law firm Broening, Oberg, Woods, Wilson & Cass, where his practice focused primarily on insurance defense and insurance bad faith defense.

That experience gave Mr. Henness valuable insight into how insurance companies and defense attorneys evaluate, defend, and resolve injury claims. Today, he uses that knowledge to advocate for injured individuals and families throughout Las Vegas and Nevada.

As a founding partner of Henness & Haight, Mr. Henness handles a wide range of personal injury matters, including car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian injuries, premises liability, defective products, catastrophic injuries, and wrongful death claims. He has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict and has recovered millions of dollars from insurance companies on behalf of his clients.

Henness & Haight has represented injured people in Las Vegas since 2000 and has recovered more than $500 million for its clients. The firm approaches every case with the expectation that it may ultimately need to be presented to a jury, while maintaining a strong emphasis on personal service and direct communication with clients.

Mr. Henness has been recognized by a number of legal organizations and publications, including The National Trial Lawyers Top 100, the National Association of Distinguished Counsel, Nevada Business Magazine’s Legal Elite, and the American Institute of Personal Injury Attorneys. Mr. Henness was born and raised in Beaverton, Oregon, and first came to Las Vegas to attend the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre before returning to Oregon to attend Willamette University College of Law. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1995 and returned to Las Vegas to begin his legal career.

Outside of the office, Mr. Henness enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, playing tennis and golf, playing guitar, and performing close-up magic.
