Jacob S. Smith

Jacob joined the team at Henness & Haight Injury Attorneys in November of 2015 as part of the litigation team. His practice has come to encompass all aspects of personal injury including premises liability, car wrecks, product liability and catastrophic injury.

Mr. Smith attended J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University. While there he became a certified mediator, served as an extern to Utah's Fourth District Court and clerked for a civil litigation firm in Las Vegas. After graduating and passing the bar Mr. Smith spent his first year at a boutique law firm where he first-chaired a bench trial before Nevada's Eighty District where he would win a verdict in his client's favor. 

He then spent time working at an insurance defense firm based in Las Vegas, focusing on litigating catastrophic injury claims. His time spent working for insurance companies has given him a rare insight into how these companies approach litigation. He brings this experience now to work for the clients of Henness & Haight.
