Erica was awarded the “Excellence in Advocacy” Award at the USAF JAG School for being the top litigator in her class. After JAG School, Erica served as a prosecutor in the Air Force for violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, ranging from drugs and domestic violence to child sex offenses. Thereafter, Erica was nominated to become an Area Defense Counsel at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada, to represent Airmen facing criminal prosecution and administrative actions. Currently, Erica is a Major in the United States Air Force JAG Corps Reserves.
Beyond her military service, Erica is committed to serving the community and provides extensive pro bono representation to inmates seeking clemency from the Nevada Pardons Board. Erica also volunteers as a board member of a local nonprofit organization, Branded One CrossFit, which provides free gym memberships to disabled servicemembers.
