Public Defender Set up

So if you have her as a public defender... Yikes. Here's what to expect: 1. The number they give you to reach her doesnt work. You hear me??? It DOES. NOT. WORK. By design ofc. She will reach out to you the day before the case but most likely, the day of. 2. Do not say anything to any casework...er until you've spoken to an attorney outside of this. You have her, so you can't afford a real one, but even paying for an hour consultation will work wonders than whatever this woman does. 3. She will only reach out once via phone call to discuss the case. No longer than an hour. That actually might be pushing it. Once tho. Periodically she'll send unhelpful texts, but... You know... Public defender. 4. Your caseworker may even gaslight you into thinking that she is ofc reachable... And no one's ever had an issue reaching her. 5. If you have her, scramble to get your own attorney. If you can't, outsource help so you don't make any wrong moves. 6. Whatever judgement is decided, she'll claim that "that's what y'all wanted." This is coming from someone who lost her child under her, and because of the judgement on this, will spend a long time getting her child back.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
