Unfortunately, I hired Lani for an employment dispute and lost all my money without getting anything in return. She showed up for a meeting late and never spoke up for me or objected to the attacks on the part of my employers. In fact, she said nothing at all throughout. Then when I told her she no l...onger represented me and wanted the rest of my retainer refunded (as she initially promised), she charged over $500 to send a simple e-mail that told my employers she was no longer my attorney (and her hourly rate is supposed to be $325). Several months later she has yet to send me the measly refund that she owes me. I wish I had listened to the reviewer who said "Run away from this place." They are right. I was totally ripped off.

I hired Lani in early 2016 for a gender discrimination and wrongful termination case. I had spent most of my final paycheck on her services. I paid her to send a demand letter to my employer, which had the wrong date for the opposing party's deadline. I had to call them for updates because I never re...ceived them. When my employer did not respond to the demand, she closed my case without even telling me. My next step was to go through the EEOC. She offered to help me, but only if I paid her more money. I decided to cut my losses and do it myself. 3 and a half years after I lost my job, the EEOC found in my favor! Now I am going to find another attorney who will fight for me. Worst experience and worst money I have ever spent. She made a bad situation that much worse. I was just another quick buck for her. Now another attorney will get commission off my settlement.

I hired Lani with my last paycheck at a job that let me go unlawfully. She wrote a letter, hardly followed up and closed the case without telling me. I had to call for her to tell me that. She didn’t fight for me at all and wanted more money before she did so. Had to go through EEOC which is still in...vestigating 2 years later. Very disappointed in my choice of attorney.

I hired Lani, she is wonderful. Her team is quite and asset as well. They kept me up to date every step of the way on my case. She is busy with many cases and her assistant Jennifer is wonderful.
