Whitney E Short

Born and raised in Sparta, Ohio, Whitney Short's journey in law began at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She earned a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies with a Spanish for the Professions minor, studying abroad in Spain, and earning membership in Phi Kappa Phi and Delta Zeta. After a successful stint in medical device sales, Whitney followed her calling to law at the UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law. There, her achievements included being Managing Editor of the Nevada Law Journal, mediating with Strasser Mediation Clinic, and conducting notable human rights research in India. She also gained valuable experience as an extern for Elizabeth Gonzalez (Ret.).
Focusing on estate planning, probate, and business law, Whitney aims to prevent conflicts, drawing on personal experiences with family and health decisions to educate clients. Her commitment has earned her accolades, including Mountain States Super Lawyers' Rising Star and Pro Bono Attorney of the Year. Beyond law, Whitney is the legal backbone of Branded One, a nonprofit she co-founded for disabled veterans, and imparts knowledge as an adjunct instructor. Whitney treasures time spent outdoors, at sports events, and with her family and pets.
