Representation by Tajbakhsh was overpriced and disappointing. I sought another attorney after having maxed out my credit cards due to charges from Tajbakhsh which did not have any desired result. The attorney I retained , settled out of court, prior to the scheduled court date, which had been set a...t an additional three months later during representation by Tajbakhsh. This would have been an additional costly expense. Settlement occurred within two weeks of retaining the new lawyer. I wanted to pursue an advocate through the court for my daughter, which was something Tajbakhsh could have done but didn’t. The new lawyer explained it was too late to change judges or courtrooms. This would have been nice to know as he made judgements against representation for my under age daughter that were unreasonable. The new lawyer did not charge me for every email and communication, and explained everything to me thoroughly, leaving me free of any doubt, questions and with full understanding of proceedings, and what to expect. This was unfortunately not afforded to me prior to retaining him. In the short time he represented me my divorce was settled, in two weeks, and a fraction of what I had to pay Tajbakhsh. I requested reimbursement for what I feel was lack of representation and a "belt only approach,"as well as anxiety for which my daughter endured and my undue stress. Examples I provided of the “belt only approach”: I researched how to answer questions on my own, as well as from other pro-bono counsel, because I never received actual legal advice on how to proceed or understand the proceedings prior to being asked to answer deposition questions. In many cases I was forwarded proposals simply to respond without actual guidance on what would be in the best interest or purpose of divorce, and the mental and physical wellbeing of my daughter. Request for reimbursement was denied by her firm.
