Biography
Attorney Roy L. Nelson III was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and is a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School in 1993 as well as a graduate from the University of Nevada-Reno in 1998. While attending the University of Nevada-Reno, Roy was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and served as president of the fraternity. He has been a practicing member of the Nevada State Bar for almost 15 years and has dedicated the great majority of his legal career to the practice of criminal law and litigation.
As a criminal defense attorney, Roy's experience includes serving as lead counsel on thousands of misdemeanor cases - i.e. Driving Under the Influence, Domestic Violence, Drug Possession - and thousands of serious felony crimes including: Murder, Sexual Assault, High Level Drug Trafficking, Robbery and other serious felony crimes. Roy has tried several felony jury cases in which the clients were charged with any of the following crimes: Attempt Murder With Use of a Deadly Weapon, Robbery Victim Over 60, Sexual Assault of a Minor, Sex Trafficking, and Battery With Use of a Deadly Weapon Resulting in Substantial Bodily Harm.Practice Areas
