I was sent to a debt collector by a doctor's office because of miscommunication. I owed the dr roughly $500 and was making payments. They stopped invoicing me and sent me to collections. The debt collector set up a payment plan for me. I reluctantly signed the forms and began paying them $50/month. D...uring the holidays, I overlooked a payment, but doubled up the following month when I realized. Instead of working with me, they threatened to garnish my wages and wouldn't accept anything less than $400/month for three months. So, my $500 to the dr turned into $1200 to the debt collector. They also had a judgement placed against me with the court . I found Keren on line and asked her to help. She looked at my case and felt we had a shot. She contacted their attorney and tried to work with them, but they were unwilling to negotiate. She in turn sued them and was able to win a settlement against them. I no longer had to worry about paying them $1200 and in fact was able to get $ back. As well as have the negative mark removed from my credit score. She worked diligently to get this resolved and was successful. I am so grateful that I found her and was able to get resolution on this. I have even referred a friend to her as well and hope she is successful with them as well.
