While Mr. Poisson can be a man of few words, I appreciated his honest appraisal of my case , as well as his availability when I had questions. The outcome of my case was better than I expected.
When I hired his firm, I had no knowledge or experience in any lawsuit before. Learning he was a horrible attorney was shocking to me as my case progressed but the work didn't follow. Overall my case settled at such a bad number, there was nothing left for me. But Poisson got his money and seemed proud of the effort he gave which was zero. All I can say is if I ever need an attorney again, I will look for an attorney or firm that has successful litigation records as all people should do. How these guys get business after the horrific jobs they do is beyond me. I thought becoming an attorney required to be taught in basic litigation but I was wrong. I can see that Poisson makes his money applying pressure to people to settle for nothing so he can grab his 33 percent off the top regardless of how much he wants you to settle for. It's amazing to me how everyone makes out but the victim. You would be better representing yourself and negotiating your settlement by yourself in lieu of hiring an attorney of Poissons stature. He's going to get his before he ever thinks about the right thing to do which I'd help the injured client. Pathetic and probably the last person who graduated in his class.

Attorney - Horrible representation
Let's start with he wanted me to settle in mediation for less than my medical bills. He had no intention on ever going to a jury and the defense knew it. Even with an offer over 100k and accepting full liability, he was too inexperienced and cheap to take it to a jury. He then filed a motion to withdraw - irreconcilable differences. Because I didn't want to settle for something with no future care. Never discussed the motion to withdraw and improperly or the judge ruled inappropriate motion within a motion for a 60 day extension on discovery that was less than 3 weeks away with not one person even spoken to as an expert witness. It should be against ethics to leave a client high and dry with no work completed and never telling the client he was going to withdraw. He explained to me my case had holes in it when I thought we had a solid case. He put me in a bad position, luckily I was able to find someone who knew what he was doing and am happy with my new counsel. Negotiators are not attorneys to me. They are what give good attorneys horrible reputations and must rely on either screwing over the client or finding a competent attorney to do their job.
