“I started a traffic ticket processing company called Ticket King, with a non-attorney. I saw nothing wrong with that since I had my law practice separated from Ticket King. However, the State Bar decided that Ticket King was itself a law practice. I was given the Reprimand because it is against the rules for an attorney to own a law firm with a non-attorney. It was Public so that other new attorneys would not make the same assumption that a traffic ticket processing company isn't a law firm.”
