Families deserve better representation

Hiring Stacy Perez was truly the worst decision I could have made regarding my family law case. After making the first of two payments totaling $10,000, I was disheartened to discover that she didn’t begin working on my case for two full months. Throughout this period, my calls and emails went unansw...ered, which left me feeling neglected and frustrated. Even with six months to prepare, she failed to file a single 16.2 disclosure and did not disclose any witnesses to the court. When she finally requested a continuance just days before our trial, it only irritated the judge and led to a denial of her request. These were not mere oversights; her lack of diligence had profound consequences for my child and our family. One crucial witness, an expert forensics psychologist with a Ph.D. was ultimately barred from speaking due to Stacy’s delays. The psychologist’s report went unseen, which undoubtedly would have exposed the truth about who we each are as parents. Stacy missed critical deadlines, disregarded essential court procedures, and presented both herself and my case in a disorganized and unprepared manner, lacking any thoughtful strategy. After losing custody, I felt completely disoriented and traumatized. The opposing counsel was able to paint a false picture of me, relying on baseless claims without substantial evidence. Because of Stacy's failures, I was left defenseless against these inaccuracies, especially since we lacked both the expert witness and important exhibits that could have countered the opposing party’s accusations. Additionally, Stacy seemed indifferent to the information and exhibits I provided to her. I supplied everything needed to demonstrate that the opposing party was being dishonest, yet she wasted significant time discussing financial matters, even after the judge indicated that this area could be bifurcated. As a result, we ran out of time to address crucial aspects of my parenting and my relationship with my child. I truly believe that if Stacy had fulfilled her responsibilities as she should have, the court would have reached a different verdict. Over the years, I have invested tens of thousands of dollars to combat false claims, often with competent legal counsel who took my evidence seriously. In the past, I even heard a judge tell my co-parent, “the witch hunt is over.” Unfortunately, this time I could not afford the same level of representation, and the repercussions of hiring Stacy have been devastating. Afterward, I appealed my case with a different attorney who thoroughly reviewed everything and was appalled at the poor performance of Stacy. While the appellate court reversed several findings, it ultimately was not enough to change the outcome. I hope this review prompts Stacy to reflect on her shortcomings and recognize the impact of her actions on families like mine. She needs to improve her listening skills and commit to diligently compiling and utilizing the evidence provided by her clients to effectively counter unjust claims. Families deserve better support during such critical times.

Want a good laugh Hire Stacy

She didn't file a counter motion in a case for my daughters custody and I know idea it was even filed. Then she threw her staff under the bus for the mistake. Yes I lost custody of my daughter with no response.
