Biography
Melanie Scheible is an accomplished attorney with a deep commitment to the people of Nevada.
She started her legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Las Vegas. As a prosecutor, Melanie handled thousands of criminal cases throughout Clark County, including cases in every Justice Court in the county. She now brings that same passion for justice to criminal defense. Melanie knows facing a criminal case is stressful, confusing, and scary. That’s why she takes the time to meet with clients and their families at every step, working together to resolve cases in a fair and timely manner. Melanie is qualified to handle misdemeanors and felonies, including appeals and jury trials.
In addition to practicing law, Melanie is a leader in the Nevada State Senate. First elected in 2018, Melanie has served in two regular and three special sessions of the Nevada Legislature. She is the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee and Joint Interim Judiciary Committee.
Melanie earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School Before law school and her undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Stanford University.
