Great law firm

My wife and I recently had reason to hire an attorney for a criminal matter in Nevada. We do not live in Nevada so we did not have any idea who to hire. Luckily, I saw Justin Wilson in the courtroom and was able to talk with him about our case. His firm, Cox and Wilson, took our case. After several ...months of working with the firm I can say that we could not have done better. The result of the case was not what we wanted but it was so much better than it could have been because Justin worked constantly and unfailingly to get the best result. Their courtroom work is top notch and their personal approach in communicating and supporting us was as good as it gets. From the start they helped us with all of the many things that came up. We were shocked at the number of the things that had to be handled outside of the courtroom. Things that we never thought of Cox and Wilson took in stride and handled easily and smoothly. Pricing was more than fair. The bottom line is you cannot get a better law firm in Vegas than Cox and Wilson.

Justin Wilson Saved my life. Really.

I don’t recall how I found this firm, except that it was an online legal referral service. I made contact with Mr. Wilson on 10.01.2023. Here’s a brief account of my story: I was charged with 43 counts of fraud; yes, that much. Needless to say, I made some severely questionable choices between 2020 ...and 2022 and the attorney general had a solid case against me. I knew I was done. I contemplated suicide because my life was ruined. I met with Justin Wilson on a Saturday afternoon at 2:00 PM- which by the way is unheard of in this town because you typically get a paralegal first before speaking to an attorney DAYS later. I was desperate, and I indicated to Mr. Wilson that I was not in good place mentally and emotionally. I remember exactly what he told me, “Hold on, don’t put the cart before the horse.” He went on to tell me the story of Budd Dwyer and he assured me that I needed to be patient and I needed to wait and see what would happen next before I did anything to exacerbate my situation. I felt better, and he gave me hope that all was not lost. Fast forward 1 year and just a few days from when I first met Mr. Wilson; I’m not in prison. This man negotiated my 43 counts down to 1 felony. 36 months probation. His out of the box, astute, tenacious, and uncompromising wit found a way for me. I am EVER SO THANKFUL for his help. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. I feel incredibly lucky to have found this firm. Naturally, as a condition of my probation I have to stay out of trouble. Although I am completely satisfied with Justin Wilson’s service, I truly hope to never need him under the same circumstances again. Not only did I have the privilege of a talented professional on my side, I found an authentic, caring, and passionate friend. Not just another stereotypical lawyer. Thank you Cox & Wilson. You made all the difference in the world to me.

Case Dismissed

I cannot recommend Justin W. Wilson as a trial lawyer enough. For the vast majority of situations, you do want a trial lawyer even if you feel it's probable that it won't go to trial. The reason is that if you get a lawyer who is good at making deals to avoid trial, you are in trouble if the case doe...s not settle before trial. Then your case gets passed off to a different set of lawyers (possibly Justin), and that different set of lawyers is behind the power curve because they haven't been working on the case from the very beginning. When I came into his office, he clearly articulated the case's strengths and weaknesses while maintaining complete honesty and transparency. I think it’s typically a bad sign if the lawyer promises you everything instead of letting you know what can go wrong up front. Justin has a wealth of experience between being both a DA for 2 years and a defense attorney for 4 years. In addition, he graduated from Syracuse, which has one of the nation's top advocacy programs; his advocacy skills showed through his representation. He is also totally honest about what he has expertise in and is willing to give referrals to other great lawyers if your issues aren’t within his realm of expertise. All that said, he has a huge breadth and depth of knowledge when it comes to the criminal justice system. Throughout the process, he was always available to talk if I was feeling stressed over something and he got the ideal result by getting the case dismissed.

Very positive experience!

Mr. Wilson took care of 2 cases for me. I had a warrant that he got quashed for me right away, and a new case. I didn't have to make a single court appearance for about 6 months, just had to show up for my trial date for the new case. Everything was handled with professionalism & he did his best to s...ee to it that I got the absolute best possible outcome for both cases. He was affordable and allowed me to set up a payment plan which was great, I couldn't have hired counsel if it weren't for that. With the amount of court appearances made on my behalf, I feel like I got more than my money's worth. Mr. Wilson knows what he's doing in the court room & I am grateful for his help & guidance throughout this process.
