Sidney Palmer Childress

This guy is a con man, do not use him. I was referred to Sid through my Legalshield membership. Before meeting with him I was told that he wanted a $300 consultation fee, which he has every right to be paid for his time. The issue I have is after meeting with him and being told that yes I have a case..., and he could help me, I received his contract. In the contract is clearly stated that he charges $225 an hour billed in 10 minute increments. I emailed him asking if according to his own contract he charges $225 an hour billed in 10 minute increments, why was I billed $300 for 20 minutes. For over a month I couldn't get him to respond, the referring law firm couldn't get him to respond, and legal shield corporate could not get him to respond. In fact I did not get a response until 40 days later when I left him a voicemail, stating a complaint with the New Mexico Bar Association has been filed against him. Rather than apologizing all he wanted to do was insult me. This guy is a con man and should have his license revoked.

Sid was very helpful with my dispute with my former landlord over the return of my security deposit. He listened to my problem and what I hoped to accomplish, gave helpful advice, respectfully considered my suggestions, and composed and sent a letter that got the landlord to return my deposit without... need for further action (which was my ideal outcome).
