A Successful Collaborative Divorce
In 2015 I found myself in need of a divorce lawyer. I was presented with a list of lawyers practicing collaborative divorce and found Jan Gilman-Tepper's name on it. The list was reviewed and she was recommended to me. I contacted her office and made an appointment for a consultation. Jan met with me, explained the process and gave me an assortment of information which I found helpful in understanding the process. Jan was very professional and, I felt, approachable. This proved true over the next five months or so of the divorce proceedings. The team we worked with, a therapist and accountant, were equally professional and helpful and instrumental in a fair outcome of the divorce. I was kept informed of what needed to be done and when and how so that information needed could be provided in a timely manner. Jan also provided encouragement when I needed some. Divorce is difficult but I feel Jan and her team made the situation much easier than an alternate option would have been,

Purpose driven, results oriented attorney
Following introductions and review of my case, I decided to hire Jan Gilman-Tepper soon thereafter. She created a comprehensive outline that included specific objectives, timelines, the need to seek and coordinate specific actions with a foreign-based law firm and foreign government officials. As my case proceeded, each aspect abroad fell into place promptly as outlined. Here, court dates were sought and scheduled, heard, and cleared efficiently and effectively. Appearance before a no-nonsense court proceded smoothly like a well oiled machine. Based on strikingly good research supported by a well honed practical skills and experience, foreign and domestic law principles merged seamlessly to produce the outcome I desired. My case could not have had a better outcome, and I would not have had greater confidence in any other attorney.

She has a wide breadth of experience in complex divorces and litigation which has led her to being a wonderful person to work with in collaborative and mediated divorces. Because she has seen the devastating effects of litigation on clients and families, she is an excellent advocate for her clients in collaborative divorce while maintaining perspective.
