Ms. Downs-Vollbracht listened to me and helped me to navigate my way through some very difficult experiences of discrimination with my previous employer. I really felt like she genuinely cared about me and her advice kept me one step ahead of them. She has subsequently assisted me with other matt...ers, such as starting my own business, applying for PPP Loans during the pandemic, and purchasing my first home. She is very capable, and is able to tackle any problem I present to her. After talking to her about legal matters that are stressing me out, I immediately feel less anxiety. D'arcy was fantastic! She was able to negotiate a settlement between my now ex-husband and I that we could both live with. We were able to have a consent divorce & be divorced immediately under the laws in Michigan at that time. My ex-husband was extremely difficult to work with. I had taken out a PP...O on him that didn't allow contact. Then later, rescinded it after he left me alone for 5 months so we could communicate to get divorced. D'arcy talked me through the steps I needed to take here in Michigan to get everything done. When he refused to sign for the divorce papers & I had to hire a deputy to serve them, she was the one we turned to to negotiate an arrangement that would work for both us. She is able to be completely neutral when necessary - even if she wants to take a side. I was quite impressed.
