I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by how well John stayed in communication with me during my divorce. We had quite a bit of waiting to do, due to an unagreeable spouse. John was helpful and effective up through the initial court hearing, but then just dropped my case, advised me to work things out myself with my ex-spouse and gave no help or advice at all. Billed me for reading my emails even though he never responded to them. Accepted an offer from the ex's attorn...ey without my knowledge or consent (that I didn't approve). When we met with ex and his attorney for a settlement conference after 8 months of NO progress, John appeared to remember nothing about my case, refused (literally) to advocate for me, said he could not support my positions although he had approved them previously, refused to speak for me, and pressured me to go along with whatever the ex's attorney wanted. The "settlement" he negotiated was so unfavorable to me that I rejected it totally. I had to hire a new attorney and basically start over after spending a large amount of time and money on fees.
