Going through a divorce is one of the hardest events in life. You go in thinking that the amicable path may be possible; whatever brought you and your spouse together in the first place, will somehow help you part as friends. Often that is not the case and this case in particular was a horrific, comp...licated mess of a 30+ year marriage. Zelma turned out to be angel, the one you pray for to save you from this mess. Her legal skills are superior as she was able problem-solve through all the issues. She has the social finesse to fight for you passionately while coming off as likeable to all parties (nobody likes or respects the aggressive, antagonistic bulldog, which was the type representing the other party). Above all, and much more importantly, Zelma cares about you as a human being and she is a good person who wants to help others. That aspect is ultimately what is needed to move on with your life. And this aspect can be the hardest to gauge as you look for an attorney. She helped us see the big picture, get pass the feeling that this entire situation was unjust and unfair. She will make sure justice is served but also doesn’t let you to get caught up (emotionally and financially) in every petty fight that the other party creates to simply antagonize you in hopes you will give up the case. Zelma is direct and compassionate, which is not an easy combination to find. I will spend the rest of my life thinking God I found her and would strongly recommend her to anyone going through divorce or child custody issues.
