We had a very complicated custody case that needed a lot of attention and immediate action. Susan took us on during one of her busiest weeks this year, knowing that we needed something filed in a matter of days in order to protect our child. Her superior work ethic, extensive knowledge of family law,... military statutes, and multiple state precedents were paramount in the success of our case. She made herself available to us via text and was prompt in returning all correspondence. She meticulously reviewed our files before each and every hearing and was always prepared for any possibility. Her staff was professional and courteous and when emergencies came up there was always someone working intensely on our case. We never felt ignored and were even given a discount for the times work had to be redone do to the urgent nature of our conflict. Susan Light and her assistant were really involved in our case. She goes all out in preparation and explains in detail what options there are and what she will do. She listened carefully and answered any question no matter if it was trivial or not relevant to the case. Her assistant also did this... and spent alot of time with details and questions . Susan also presented to us issues we had no knowledge of and were for our best interests in the outcome. She also has abundant qualified resources. Susan takes on anything in court and nothing surprises her or throws her off. We felt that we were completely represented and our best interests were a priority. She is aggressive in court in a way that showed intelligence and knowledge but not raving. Susan has also taken on a separate case for us (not marital) and looks at long term consequences and is again so through that we are confident we are getting the best effort. Yes, there are some problems with getting calls through but as my son's friend said if she's busy it means she's working hard.
