Life is good, your career is prosperous, you’re loved by your kid, you’re grateful to life for a promising future, then you receive that appalling phone call. Someone is telling you that you’re being investigated by the police, falsely accused of the worst crime you can imagine, and that you must cal...l a lawyer. I was falsely accused of two sexual felonies and was facing 17 to 39 years in prison. That amount of time would equate to life in prison for crimes I never commited. I was accused by an overzealous local prosecutor of a bogus molestation charge that could have landed me in prison for 20+ years. Which means, the rest of my life. It was a very tough case, based entirely on hearsay, but it was testimony from a young child, which can be powerful and hard to defend ag...ainst. I had to defend my friend who was rendered unconscious and myself against an attack and it resulted in the death of one of the attackers. I was charged with murder in the second degree.
