My wife and I were involved in a Civil Court Litigation case with a Contractor whom we had won a lawsuit against in the Arizona Superior Court and the Arizona Registrar of Contractors involving abandonment of a construction project. Although the lawsuit was settled in our favor the Contractor and his... lawyer sued us in a Justice Court where a Justice of the Peace was presiding as Judge. Not knowing the formalities of this Courts procedures, we hired Mike to represent us against this contractors claims. After a lengthly battle between the two parties, the Judge finally agreed with Mikes position that the contractor violated state laws and he dismissed the case, However, in the ruling, the Judge indicated that no attorney fees would be applicable and that the case was dismissed without prejudice. Mike knew that this was wrong and fought to overturn the Judges decision with the Superior Court of Arizona. The Superior Court agreed with Mikes arguments and the Justice Court ruling was overturned. Due to Mikes do diligence, we won the legal battle against a very questionable contractor and lawyer who presented Mike with continuously untrue statements and claims.
