I am a solo practitioner and the owner of the Casler Law Office, PLLC. The focus of my practice is real estate law and contract law, with an emphasis on residential and commercial landlord/tenant law (i.e., evictions, custom-drafted rental agreements, etc.).
I am the author of the Arizona Landlord's Deskbook (now in its sixth edition), the author and co-author of three other real estate law books, an Arizona real estate broker, and certified by the Arizona Department of Real Estate as a real estate instructor.
Because I am a solo practitioner, when you call my office you will speak directly to me and not to a secretary or another attorney (unless I am in court or meeting with a client). My clients tell me they love always talking to the attorney who is personally handling their case and the individual attention they receive. Please call or send me an email about your situation and I will let you know if I can help you. If I can't, then I will refer you to someone who can help you.

Professional, thorough and communicative!
Working with Carlton has been a pleasure! My husband and I own a number of rental properties and Carlton has helped us write purchase contracts, rental contracts and most recently with an eviction. What I like most is that he is very thorough and would not even consider proceeding with an eviction ...

Landlord/Tenant dispute; Landlord wins
We hired Mr. Casler to represent us in a Breach of Lease to recoup our losses on the balance of the lease plus costs. Mr. Casler is very knowledgeable in his field and he took the most expedient and appropriate steps to settle our matter within a few weeks. He addressed any concerns we had during t...

Sit Back and leave it up to Carl
I was stupid and allowed a tenant to rent my model home without checking credit history/references etc. They turned-out to be professional rent-skippers. I was completely stuck. I gave them possession and didn't have a thing going in my favor. They knew how to use the tenant/landlord laws in their...

Above the Best!
I had contacted Carlton originally to obtain a lease agreement that he personally constructed to protect, myself, the lessor for the short term lease. In doing that Carlton requested to reviewed my CC&Rs. After reviewing, unfortunately, I am unable to do short term leasing in my development, so I w...

Received a Stipulated Judgment against your tenant today
Mr Casler helped me resolving an eviction process and we received a Stipulated Judgment against your tenant today. He has been very clear on each step and necessarily action that helped me understand my position and risks. I appreciate very much his help and definitely have him
"When a matter in Arizona requires specialty in the laws related to Landlord, Tenant and litigation, our firm recommends Carlton at the highest level possible. Theresa Keeley"
"Mr. Casler is a valuable asset to this community. His continuing dedication to the law and his clients is admirable."
"Carlton is one of the best landlord-tenant lawyers in the state. I met him many years ago as an adversary, and through the years he has become my "go-to guy" on those issues. His Arizona Landlord's Deskbook is the definitive work and should be on every landlord's desk! Carlton is one of the few experts in that area who is willing to help tenants. I have referred many clients to him over the years and have received only the best feedback."

I drafted a short-term rental agreement that is NOT subject to the Arizona Residential Landlord and Tenant Act AND provided the client with a comprehensive plan for ensuring the Act would not apply to future occupants of the vacation rental property.
I drafted a rental agreement for this client that complied with Arizona law AND that included many provisions that favored the landlord. The client also received 1 hour of consultation time to be used anytime during the next 12 months.
I successfully appealed the judgment against the landlord; the judgment was vacated and a new trial ordered
I custom-drafted each of these documents. Each document complied with Arizona law AND included provisions that CLEARLY favored the broker, property manager and the broker's clients (i.e., owners/landlords).
The court ruled in favor of the landlord and held that the eviction action could continue even though possession was no longer an issue.
