Stay away from Dodds Law Firm

Dodds law firm is shady and should be in prison for fraud and malpractice. I hired Dan in June of 2022 to handled my divorce. In July I ended up working with Tejay instead due to Dan having surgery. All Tejay is going to do is extend your case every 60-90 days. Dan talks a good game but once you wise... up and realize he's full of it and call him out he will tell you to find another firm if you don't like it. Tejay has better bedside manner but ultimately they just bring in clients milk them for everything they can and do absolutely nothing. My ex didn't have a lawyer to begin with and they knew that yet never tried to contact her for documents or anything literally did nothing for 10 months but charge me for updates. I was charged for things they weren't done or done correctly. I wasn't informed Tejay was officially my new lawyer until October again I hired them in June. They had another lawyer that didn't pass the AZ bar exam yet handling my case and she was useless and very expensive. It takes several emails and phones just to get them to call you back just for them to say they are on track then boom another extension. I fired them and hired another lawyer and in 5 months everything was finalized. Even when I hired the new lawyer I explained what they did without telling her who they were at first and she was able to guess it. She even said "that sounds like Tejay over at Dodds."Stay away from this firm. I hope they all end up disbarred and or in prison for what they are doing to people. Divorce is hard the lawyer you hired to help shouldn't be the main one screwing you over but they definitely will

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
