Hired Karl for Criminal defense. Karl was excellent at staying in contact and explaining the situation and options. Karl was able to reduce my charge, which greatly helped, but I feel that an even greater outcome was possible that a more vigorous lawyer might have achieved. I realize that attorneys i...n many cases engage in alot of "behind the scenes" activities that often go unnoticed, but I do not feel that everything possible was done to maximize my chances of a best possible legal outcome. Evidence existed that may have helped my case, but I do not believe Karl pursued it. Things I wish he had done for my case, prior to arriving in court: depose the camera footage from the police officer, interview the police officer, and arrive to court on time. Although Karl made it very clear, days in advance, that he would be late to court due to a case scheduled the same day, he was way later than I expected. Personally, when I'm spending money on a lawyer, I'm really buying peace-of-mind so that I don't have to worry so much. Sitting alone in court, wondering when Karl would show up, all I did was worry. As for deposing the footage or interviewing the officer: I suggested these strategies, but Karl did not seem interested. Very thankful for the reduced charge, but would not use these particular legal services again.
