Ronald L. Kossack

I have worked in the legal field for 10+ years. When I realized I would have to hire an attorney for my custody battle, I asked the attorneys that I worked with for a recommendation of a family law attorney. Ron Kossack was the one and I am glad he was! This ended up being an extremely complicated... dispute that I would have not been able to see through had it not have been for Ron's patience with me and encouragement to hang in there. His knowledge of the court system was so comprehensive that he knew the likes and dislikes of every mediator, commissioner and judge we would face. He knew every approach to take in order to get a successful result and he was right! I got everything I had hoped for in my battle for my son. Looking back, it was worth it and I am glad I had Ron on my side! I have referred him to several friends who were searching for a tough, yet honest, divorce attorney. They have all had great results!

I highly recommend this lawyer. I had a very complex divorce involving a difficult custody battle and many financial issues. He was able to get me a very good custodial arrangement and much more than I anticipated. Mr. Kossack is unbelievable in the courtroom and actually had the other attorney sc...ared. I could tell that judges respect him and he was constantly advising me as to what would likely happen. He was upfront and honest with me and I have referred many friends to him. You will be very happy you have him on your side.

I really like Ron as a person. He is very nice. I had to do all of the footwork to get things done. He drew up my papers, and emailed me a copy, and even though I spoke to him and his office assistant both, the papers were never sent to my ex. I had to print them off and send them myself to get the... ball rolling. I feel feet were dragging on getting things done. I was left wondering why I had an attorney when I was doing all the work? Also, anytime I had some concerns about some things, he did tell me some of it was silly and I did not feel he was out to protect my interests. I ended up taking care of my legal needs myself. Also I got a bill dated for the 30th of one month, but the envelope it came in was post dated by the post office for the 9th of the following month and the bill was due on the 15th. The statement was received on the 10th of the month that the bill was due and I was out of state at the time and only had 5 days to get the money to him. I know of another client whom had the same issues with billing. It took his office 10 days to mail out a bill and it left me only 5 days to pay it.

I have had to learn the hard way and at my child's expense. This lawyer will be a push over to the opposing counsel. If your case is difficult, he will collect his fee from you, do the job of a paralegal, NOT AN ATTORNEY. In other words, he will file paperwork but never answer your emails, or phon...e calls. He will promise you that you will have your day in court and then at the last minute cave under the pressure of the other attorney. I went 5 months without seeing my child. I am not a criminal. I don't have any CPS involvement. I am a nurse. I have a level 1 fingerprint clearance card. I have been diagnosed as bipolar. THIS IS ALL THE OTHER ATTORNEY AS ON ME. But with Ron that is enough. He will go along with whatever the other lawyer wants. Even though the other side lied about me. My ex is a substance abuser, who has set the house on fire and threatened to murder me just 4 days prior to turning the tables on me and having me hospitalized for mental illness. Well, with the help of Ron, my ex has full custody. YES, This has gone on over a year. I haven't even had a sleep over with my own child and I am the mother. This case has been going on since 2017. I don't want to go on with all the details. I think I have said enough. This lawyer doesn't care about families. He doesn't care about his clients. He will tell you after a year and a half (of being painfully separated from your child) that YOU NEED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. However, he never told me HOW to take responsibility. I was compliant on my meds. I had taken SEVERAL parenting classes NOT REQUIRED BY THE COURT. I had therapists wanting to testify on my behalf. Psychiatrists would wrote me beautiful letters. These letters the courts never saw. Ron is extremely passive. HE WILL NOT FIGHT FOR YOU.
