Ian K. Douglas

While not at work, I lead an equally demanding life, as an active member of my local church and church youth programs. In my free time, i enjoy walking my dogs, Kora and Daisy, reading up on the latest news in electronics and gadgets, golfing, swimming, studying American and world history, and debating polotics with my colleagues and friends. Also, I am a blue blooded BYU football fan.

My wife Brenda and I have been happily married since 1994 and moved to Mesa in 2002 after graduating Cum Laude from J. Ruben Clark Law School, Brigham Young University.

While I was an Associate of the lawfirm Lewis & Roca LLP, I worked closely with Kevin Goff, and in 2007, entered into Goff and Douglas, PC together. Initially we focused practicing primarily corporate real estate, representing larger clients such as Max Brenner Chocolate by the Bald Man, Pei Wei Asain Diner, P.F. Chang's China Bistro, The Habit Burger Grill, Z'Tejas Southwestern Grill, and others.

In late 2008, we made the decision to expand our practice into Bankruptcy, an area both Kevin and I had interest in and were excited to practice.

Since then, we have opened a second office in Apache Junction and brought on board a new Associate Nick Van Vleet, to help us handle the volume of bankruptcy work that has flown in over the past 2 years.

I'm so satisfied with my work and enjoy knowing that I am using my understanding of the law to help my community and look forward to many more years of serving the people therein.
