Waste of time and money

Paid Attorney Jamie Myers right away and could not be more disappointed with results. She is filled with excuses and horrendous delays, months and months and months! Terrible experience!

My son"s nightmare

Mrs.Meyer's was my son's cps attorney. For 14 heartbreaking months my 5 year old had no voice in court. Never once did she tell the court that my son missed his family and wanted to come home. He said it everyday to whoever would listen. For 14 months I never stopped fighting until my case was dismi...ssed and he came home. My cps caseworker told me that never had she seen such road blocks for a child by their own attorney. Sadly her role in our horrible ordeal was just a brick in the wall. From Casa's to lawyers, foster parent's to Judges. From the moment my son was removed from my care I changed my life. It took me 2 frantic weeks to get a response form cps where my child was. At which time me and my 18 year old daughter were told that there would be no placement with family! That is there mandate! How was this happening in America? I was fed up and contacted Jamie directly. She had not been notified that my son was removed and placed in foster care! For 6 weeks my boy had no lawyer. A ward of the state. I still am not getting visits. not one. I was in a family shelter with staff and drug and alcohol testing, his 18 year old sister with a 2 bedroom apt. and employment and lastly , his Grandma with no criminal record whom my son adores were all told he could not be placed with any of us. This should have been an 'easy' one. Clearly the child's best interests are being ignored, his civil and foster kid right's violated. 6 weeks in that home with no legal council, Shame on you , Mrs.Meyer's.

Court Appointed Problem

Jamie Myers was my court appointed attorney for Child Protective Services case. Because of her I missed one of the first court hearings. She wrote me a letter dated June 27th informing me I had a court hearing on July 5th. This would have been okay except she did not mail it (postmarked) until July 2...nd right before the July 4th holiday weekend. I received this letter on July 5th after I got home from work that day stating I had a 10:30 a.m. appointment that morning. My daughter was taken by CPS in the first week of June, I have had a couple of calls from her office, asking if I had been served paperwork and another call asking my permission if my daughter could go out of state on a trip already planned by her guardians that the court appointed. As of now, Setember 1st, I still have not spoke 1 time to Jamie Myers about my case. After trying to file paperwork with the courts myself, and being told I would have to go through my appointed attorney to file the paperwork I proceeded to hand deliver this paperwork to her office. The address on all the letters that came from her office turned out to be a post office box at a UPS Store, when I called her office ( of course she was not available to talk) I was given the physical address. I then drove to her office and eventually found it, I then had to wait in the lobby for a considerable amount of time after the lady at the front desk called somebody to come up to retrieve the paperwork, after a while I called her office again and told them I'm waiting out in the lobby to give them paperwork and finally had someone take my paperwork. I have no faith on anything positive comming from her office... I'm in the process of getting the courts to cancel her as my attorney so that in the future I can submit my own paperwork to the court. I read some other reviews left and I have to agree with them, not recommending to use her services....your better off doing it on your own.

Left Me Stranded

This attorney left me stranded just before my court hearing which ultimately led to disaster because I had no business representing myself especially on such short notice. Also walked out during a hearing ultimately putting into motion a terrible temporary order situation.
