“This issue occurred about 10 years ago. The matter involved a very minor deficit in the firm’s trust account and the deficit was less than $50. It was caused by the firm’s paralegal issuing a check from one bank before a deposit from another bank cleared, a procedure unknown to the paralegal because the two different banks had different “closing” times for the day. The supervising attorney’s discipline was solely a periodic monitoring of the firm’s trust account.”
