I was very discouraged after meeting with my lawyer for the 2nd or 3rd time. She introduced herself to me again, and asked me questions we had previuosly gone over as if we had never met. I was so confused, It felt like she really didn't care what I was saying.Needless to say, I wasn't confident goin...g forward with her. I understand she meets many people and has a lot of cases ,but this is SUCH a traumatic situation for me. Knowing I was of that little importance didn't give me any confidence that she would put in the effort to really help me. I also called and emailed multiple times prior to my court dates to get an idea of what I should expect going into court to calm my nerves a bit. I never received anything back. I struggle being in front of groups of people and going to court is anxiety x100 . All I can say is I was really upset over the entire situation and scared to put my future in her hands. This was a year ago, and I'm still struggling with her blatant disregard for my case I feel it was because she was my public defender appointed by the court's, and I didn't pay to retain her...it's just not okay in my eyes.
