I felt Clay was unsupportive if me during my domestic violence case not allowing me a plenary order response to the “victim’s” statement. He then told me to say nothing when the victim requested a 3 year order of protection against me even though the max isn’t 2 years and even the judge was questioni...ng. So I feel this attorney because he too is male and he too may have gone through nasty marital stuff he is an advocate for men vs women. So if you are a female I suggest finding a different lawyer.

Clay has a bad political history in the courtroom and also is not respected much by his community and other lawyers as well as prosecutors. This is something I should have researched from the beginning and started finding this out earlier, I'm just glad i did realize it in time before Clay almost rui...ned my case for me. I was charged with a class A misdemeanor earlier this year, and counted on clay to help me. He repeatedly continued court dates before withdrawing from the case. Do you want a lawyer like that? Think about your future.

Although Clay accept very few family cases, I was fortunate to have him on my side. We won every case, every motion, everything! He worked hard to keep me out of the courtroom and off the witness box. Many times he was able to represent me and I didn't have to be present. This saved my vacation t...ime to use with my son. He kept me informed every step of the way, usually calling me right after leaving the courtroom. He responded very quickly to every e-mail. I might cost a bit more than other attorneys, but he is well worth the price.
