Overpriced, overrated, passive - no results

Hired Paul to represent me in a custody case and it was useless so I ended up firing him. He dragged me along collecting high retainers but never provided any strategy, direction or managed my case properly . He may be a veteran but it’s quite possible he already retired but still shows up to his of...fice everyday and takes on clients for fun. His work was sloppy as he pays attention to nothing that js going on and his staff can barely manage files. If you want an overpriced attorney who doesn’t fight for you and is super passive then Paul is your guy. I would not recommend his services - you are better off representing yourself. I thought I was hiring a veteran bulldog lawyer but got a washed up overrated overgrown chihuahua.

I am disappointed to read your review and respectfully disagree with your characterization of the services rendered. My firm works hard to provide each client with honest legal counsel, a clear understanding of options, dedicated representation, Even when that advice my not align the the outcome hoped for. While I won’t comment on the specifics of your case out of respect for your confidentiality, I stand by the work performed that the professionalism showed throughout. Legal representation is a two-way relationship, and effective outcomes often depend on mutual trust, communication, and realistic expectations. I wish you the best with your future endeavors and hope you will be able to find peace and resolution in your legal matters. Paul Riggs

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
