Lawton Connelly Jr

Nearly $8,000 and a year-and-a-half of my time wasted still waiting to get things figured out as I've backtracked and my relationship with my exes way worse than it was before hiring Lawton. He gave advice that lets me in contempt several times, would need for conferences to talk about the same thing... over and over and then in hearings not even follow through with what was talked about. That is just a tip of the iceberg. If you don't want to take my advice look at the other two comments below mine that says something about his consistent pattern of getting over on those of us that put trust in him.

I have read the other review on Mr. Lawton and here is my intake. I tried to work with Several Lawyers before hiring Mr. Lawton Connelly in 2013 which carried over to 2014. I cannot speak for the other person’s personal experience but mine was amazing as well as on pins and needles at the same t...ime. Lawton does talk a big game as well as he should. He was worth the money and believe it or not his fees were half the price of ALL the other Lawyers who were into it only for money. Lawton actually cares about his case and give you good sound advice about which direction you should go with your case. As the other person stated above “He is very responsive, and actually very good at knocking out the game plan for the case”. But in my Case Lawton was very thorough in my case in front of the Judge. I did not pay extra for copies or additional filed documents. He was available in the evening which most Lawyers are not which is a plus for me. Lawton was not buddy-buddy with the opposing attorneys in my case but he did smile and kept it professional even when the other side seemed to be irritated with his knowledge of the Family Court rules and regulations. I would recommend Lawton any day to any person looking to settle Family Matters. 93% of Lawyers are concerned about money and ripping clients off in the process as what happen to the other party in my case. I went from having no parenting time dealing with a disgruntled mother to having control parenting time every other weekend for 6 months and them after 6 months having 50/50 parenting time one week on one week off and no child support involved what so ever. Plus he saved me over $20,000.00 in arrears do to false allegations by the mother. Every case is different at giving times but in my case I would say hell yea I would recommend this man to handle your case as he fights for parenting time and not for money. If you are looking to rip the other party off over money I would suggest that you find you an overpaid lawyer who could care less if you win your case or not. I give him 4 ½ stars. He lost ½ a point because he is extremely too nice and considerate. Overall I would say find you a lawyer who cares about the family and not the money.. Bottom line no one wins in a Family court matter and the Child will always lose. I just despise greedy parents who only do this for money and Lawton help me over come that process. This man is professional and friendly. It does not cost a dime for a phone call to him so why not try him out first and see how he works for yourself...

Lawton Connelly is the worst lawyer in Arizona. Talks a big game ... doesn't follow through. Don't be sucked in by the low $2,000 retainer fee... pay the extra money for a real attorney who knows what they're doing, because it'll cost you much more in the end. Your retainer fee will run out quic...kly anyways and you WILL have to fork out more money and interest for this loser. Lawton took every cent he could and provided zero results... I am confident ANY other family attorney could have provided a more positive result for me in court. He is very responsive, and actually very good at knocking out the game plan for the case .. just terrible in front of the judge when it actually mattered. He charges the same amount of money per money whether he does the work, or his secretary. This is not normal. If copies are made, or something is filed or mailed, the customer should NOT have to pay $200+ per hour! Lawton was VERY unprofessional in court. He was buddy-buddy with the opposing attorneys instead of preparing for my case which was starting shortly. During the case, the judge literally told him to be quiet because he wasn't making any sense. This guy is a joke. To top it off, his secretary filled out the wrong form for me on my last day of court and ended up costing me $380 with the court. STAY FAR AWAY FROM LAWTON CONNELLY
